Due to the earthquake, “several uninhabited buildings collapsed” and landslides occurred, reported the Italian Civil Protection Minister Nello Musumeci on social media.

The Naples city authorities earlier reported that a high-voltage pole supplying electricity to the city collapsed, but backup supply was ensured in the affected areas.

In some city districts, power outages occurred, and emergency service specialists were fixing the faults, officials said.
