Ignalina NPP announced an international competition, the company reported on Friday.
Research is one of the first stages of the project, during which scientific data will be collected in different territories of Lithuania about potentially suitable geological formations and their properties and suitability for long-term disposal of long-lived radioactive waste will be assessed, the statement said.
