The girl and her friend received the news about the canceled event by email from the ticket distributors. “At first, we thought we were being deceived. When it became clear that we weren’t – we got very nervous,” Goda said. Emotions took over: her friend, who previously was not at all prone to aggression, slammed her fist on the restaurant table with teary eyes with all her might.
The comedian did not hide her frustration when evaluating the performer himself: “I can say that this incident revealed the true face of the ‘world citizen’ (Mr. Worldwide). What kind of Worldwide is this if he can’t come to the Latvians?”
The girls suffered not only emotional but also significant financial losses. They had booked a luxury hotel for the trip, which became simply unnecessary after the main purpose of the trip was canceled. “Now we are begging the hotel to return the money, pretending to be students who have no means to live on,” the opinion leader joked and added that the Latvian capital did not leave a good impression on them. “We hope to get compensation because we won’t survive another night in Riga. Everyone here listens to tragic Russian music, and the food is very salty.”
However, the moral loss experienced, according to Goda, is priceless. The friends had been preparing for the concert for eight months: responsibly learning the lyrics and even rehearsing a special dance.
Looking for the bright side, the comedian was glad that this quirky trip brought her and her friend very close and revealed unexpected secrets. “I wouldn’t have suspected before why she is afraid of men with mustaches, but it turns out it’s something from childhood. To at least brighten the mood a little about the failed weekend, the girls used artificial intelligence and generated a photo – to see how Pitbull would have looked in their luxury hotel room.
“They said he has nowhere to sleep because he booked all the hotels in Riga,” Goda Ančiukaitytė laughed.

“We are sad about the news of the canceled Pitbull concert in Latvia, but we can assure you that preparations for the concert in Kaunas are proceeding as planned.
The Darius and Girėnas Stadium uses different stage constructions that meet all the highest safety and technical standards. Currently, there are no circumstances that would suggest the concert in Kaunas could not take place as planned.
We hope that those Pitbull fans from Latvia who will not be able to see the artist in their country will still manage to organize a trip to Kaunas and participate in this special event together with fans in Lithuania,” the representatives of the concert organizer “Live Nation” commented on the situation to the news portal Žmonės.lt.
