Charges of “supporting terrorist activities” (Criminal Code Article 205.1, Part 1.1) have been brought against “Telegram” founder P. Durov, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported.

“An international (…) search for ‘Telegram’ administration head P. Durov has been announced,” the statement added.
According to the Russian security services, the messaging app’s administration does not remove channels, chat groups, and bots that are allegedly used by “Ukrainian special services, terrorist and extremist organizations” to organize “sabotage and terrorist acts, mass killings” as well as cyber fraud in Russia.
The FSB emphasized that this has already resulted in “many human casualties and losses worth several billion.”

As an example, the FSB cited the chat bot “Daivinčik,” in which, according to the service, Ukrainian special service officers pretending to be girls allegedly befriended Russian boys and involved them in terrorist acts.
It is stated that P. Durov, born in Russia and holding French and United Arab Emirates (UAE) passports, is currently in France.
