The source said that two months after the letter was sent, funds have still not been disbursed and are not even secured by contracts.
Of course, Congress has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of fund disbursement.
It is expected that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with D. Trump at the White House on Tuesday, where he will continue to seek urgently needed air defense systems and an agreement with the US on drones. After this meeting, he is expected to visit the US Congress, where he will meet with all 100 senators.

Two other sources noted that members of Congress are unhappy with the schedule set by the Pentagon, which they believe is too slow given the ongoing conflict.
According to the supply schedule outlined in the letter, funds will be disbursed during the 2026 fiscal year, which ends on September 30, and the final delivery of all aid is scheduled for the year ending September 30, 2029.
