On Facebook, M. Sinkevičius shared a post in which he spoke about a painful loss. The Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased, offering them words of support and comfort.
“Every loss of a young person is shocking. It is difficult to find words that can even slightly alleviate the pain of such a loss.
The news of the death of a talented high school graduate who scored five hundreds in state matriculation exams reminded us all once again how fragile life is.
I sincerely sympathize with the girl’s family, relatives, friends, teachers, and the entire school community. May her bright memory forever remain in our hearts and oblige us to make maximum efforts to reduce such losses on the roads,” M. Sinkevičius wrote.
Žmonės.lt reminds that on July 23, at about 2:58 PM, emergency services were called to an accident in Vilnius district, Ažulaukė village, on the road towards Nemenčinė. Three vehicles collided there.

Firefighters’ help was needed for the girl who was driving a BMW. She was conscious, but due to body damage to the car and injuries sustained, she could not get out. Firefighters freed her and handed her over to paramedics. As it later turned out, the girl who sustained injuries in the accident did not survive. The girl, born in 2007, who was driving the BMW, died in the ambulance.
When rescuers arrived, it became clear that not two vehicles, as initially stated, but three were involved in the accident. A BMW, a Ford, and a truck collided.
