Big and wealthy football clubs competed for Yan Diomande, who impressed football fans at the World Cup as a talented winger for the Ivory Coast national team.
The 19-year-old African, who made a name for himself at RB Leipzig in Germany last season, was lured with large sums.
According to the BBC, a bid from Liverpool was rejected in June, when the English club offered £69 million for the player.
It is now reported that Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain has also withdrawn from the competitive battle, deciding that the final sum – £102.5 million – is too high.
AS writes that Real Madrid, ready to pay €120 million, won the battle against PSG.
It is said that the Spanish club’s scouts have been watching the footballer for the past five years.

After moving to the USA in his teens and making a name for himself at a Florida college, Y. Diomande initially participated in tryouts for MLS clubs, but after trials with Colorado and Charlotte teams, he landed at the Spanish team Leganes in 2024.
Soon, the Leipzig club lured the African football talent for €20 million and a five-year contract.
Last season, Y. Diomande was named the best new footballer in the 2025-2026 season, scoring 12 goals and providing 8 assists. Other statistics were also impressive – Y. Diomande beat his opponent in one-on-one situations 118 times – more than 50 times more than any other footballer in the German championship.
The Leipzig club did not plan to sell the talented player, but when the sum grew to a record high in the history of this German club’s market, they could no longer resist.
