The theme of this Sea Festival is “Like in the movies. Your most beautiful summer shot”.
So, even before the procession, its organizers hinted that the participants embraced the theme and the procession would not lack movie characters: neither pirates, nor mermaids, nor cowboys.
Some companies specially created films for the procession. Spectators will witness the premiere.
The Sea Festival procession is one of the deepest traditions. Klaipėda’s major port companies create decorations and order costumes specifically for this festival.

In the several-kilometer-long procession, you can see the largest companies operating in Klaipėda, higher education institutions, state institutions, and various organizations, such as dance groups, football or basketball fans.
The festival also became the premiere of the neo-fresco “Klampi pėda”. The project was initiated by the Western Shipyard (VLG) group of companies, in cooperation with the Klaipėda Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts. The authors of the artistic idea are graphic design students Tomas Bičkus, Karolina Kupstaitė, and Smiltė Miliauskaitė. Their concept was transferred to the building walls by the well-known Lithuanian street artist Pijus Čeikauskas.
