Initially, he was driving at 86-94 km/h in a 60 km/h speed zone. The footballer underwent a sobriety test, which showed negative results, and after a report was issued, C. Volpato was released.
However, just two hours later, he was already driving at 109 km/h in the same speed zone and once again attracted police attention. This time, he underwent a drug test, which showed that the footballer was under the influence of cocaine.
The Australian’s driver’s license was revoked for six months. Other sanctions will be applied after an additional test for consumed substances.

One of the best footballers of his country had just represented Australia in the World Cup, where he played in three out of four team matches and appeared in the starting lineup of the Australian national team in two of them.
