Last year, 27.2 thousand people submitted applications for studies, and 23.6 thousand applicants met the requirements.
2.6 thousand people were enrolled in the second competitive queue, intended for individuals meeting the established social dimension or practical experience criteria, and 727 in 2025.
53 individuals are applying for short-cycle studies, 27 for state-funded places; in 2025, there were 54 such applicants.
According to LAMA BPO, 12,900 state-funded places have been allocated for first-cycle and integrated studies this year, and 90 places for short-cycle studies.
This year, 20.3 thousand applicants already have the right to apply for state-funded first-cycle and integrated study places, as well as study scholarship places, of whom 12.2 thousand are this year’s graduates.
This number will increase further, as a significant number of this year’s graduates who retook mathematics and Lithuanian language and literature exams will receive their maturity certificates at the beginning of next week. They will participate in the main admission competitions under the general procedure.
The results of the main admission stage will be announced on July 30 by 3 PM, study contracts with those invited will be concluded from July 30 at 4 PM, and the conclusion of contracts will end on August 1 at 3 PM.

This year, 2,124 applicants registered for art study programs requiring entrance exams; last year, there were ten fewer.
1,601 applicants passed the exams, 1,541 in 2025, of whom 1,210 were for university study programs, and 1,107 last year.
The largest group of applicants passed the entrance exam for college-level design studies – 354 (390 in 2025), and in the university sector – architecture, passed by 201 applicants (168 in 2025).
Additional admission to state-funded and non-funded short-cycle, first-cycle, and integrated study places, as well as study scholarship places, will take place from August 4.
A short entrance exam session will also be organized during the additional admission.
“Applicants who took exams in the repeat session or submitted appeals and currently do not yet know their final results and do not have a maturity certificate, really do not need to worry. As soon as the school issues the maturity certificate, all exam results will reach the LAMA BPO system and the competitive score will be automatically calculated,” the statement said.
Applicants will see their chances of being admitted to their chosen program in the summary section of the LAMA BPO information system, the most important condition being that schools issue certificates by the middle of next week.
