The 52-year-old specialist worked in the Japanese capital since 2022.
The farewell message was also written by the coach himself on social media.
“Thank you for four wonderful years,” D. Adomaitis began the post.
– I am sincerely grateful for the experiences, challenges, and memories gained in this organization. I thank the players, coaches, staff, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make this stage of my career so meaningful and enjoyable.
I had the true privilege of working daily alongside such dedicated people from whom I learned a lot.”
“Thank you also to the fans for your unwavering support. Thank you for coming, supporting, and being together every year and at every game. Your support has always meant a lot. Forward, Alvark,” concluded D. Adomaitis, writing his post in two languages – English and Japanese.
Officially becoming the coach, D. Adomaitis is considered the favorite to take over the helm of Vilnius “Rytas” after the Lithuanian capital team dismissed Giedrius Žibėnas.
It should be reminded that D. Adomaitis has already worked in Vilnius (2014 and 2018–2020).
The Lithuanian’s stage in Japan ended this year with a victory in the Emperor’s Cup and a painful defeat in the championship quarterfinals.
