The Court of Appeal dismissed the complaint of Šilutė politician Edgaras Padimanskas in the "receipts" case

The Lithuanian Court of Appeal announced that with this complaint, the politician requested that instead of the criminal impact measure assigned to him – the deprivation of the right to be elected or appointed to elected or appointed positions in state or municipal institutions and their establishments, enterprises for three years – another measure be assigned – a contribution to the fund for victims of crimes.

The panel of judges stated that the deprivation of public rights for a minimum duration was reasonably assigned to E. Padimanskas, considering that he caused significant non-pecuniary damage to the Šilutė District Municipality and the state with intentional actions that lasted four years.
