Rūta, who shared the photos on Facebook, recalled that there were various circumstances that day, but ultimately it was an unforgettable life experience.

“Someone had a temperature of 38 that day.
Someone slept through everything.
Someone didn’t fit into the dress.
Someone’s shoes were too tight!
It was very beautiful,” Rūta wrote.
Last year, Rūta also posted a wedding anniversary entry, in which she told how she felt that day.
“My husband’s hands are shaking,” I said into the camera then, and now I wonder – oh, why is that?
Ugh, and now my husband even got emotional. I think that’s good. It means it’s still real. And my legs were trembling then, I remember. And now something gets stuck in my throat. Especially when my son says that the wedding was for all of us!
My daughter, she says, was most worried then that we both wouldn’t fall walking towards the altar (the high heels were wow), where her husband Rolandas and their son Jonas were already waiting. Their son was about one and a half years old then, and oh dear, he deliberately got sick and developed a fever. Which means the newlyweds were sleepless!
So the grandmothers took turns comforting the sick grandson during the feast, while everyone else celebrated.
And Rolis and I both recovered after a few days – getting married and partying with children, you know, you need to have a lot of stamina.
And I always thank my grandmother for the best advice – “don’t marry a man, marry a good person!
And Rolis for his iron patience with me.
