A Ryanair flight from Dublin to Ibiza turned into a nightmare at 9 kilometers altitude. According to one horrified passenger, some passengers were heavily intoxicated on the plane, and one couple spent about ten minutes in the toilet, where they allegedly engaged in sexual activity. It was also claimed that one person tried to organize “hook-ups” with other passengers.

An unnamed passenger, a frequent traveler to Ibiza, who spoke to Irish radio station Newstalk FM, said that other passengers felt uncomfortable already at the boarding gate at Dublin Airport. She claimed to have warned ground staff about groups of passengers who “appeared intoxicated,” but, according to her, the concerns were not taken seriously.
“It all started at the boarding gate. We came to the gate and I saw two groups of people that worried me,” she recounted.
“They were very noisy. They appeared intoxicated, and considering what Michael O’Leary has said about intoxicated passengers not being tolerated on their flights, I drew the attention of a ground staff member before boarding the plane. She was not pleased that I was concerned about it.”
The woman added that there was another problem at the gate, due to which her husband was almost denied boarding, according to Dublin Live.
However, once the aircraft took off, the situation quickly deteriorated. The passenger identified two separate groups causing disruption during the flight: a group of young men and another, slightly older, mixed group of men and women.
About the younger group, she said: “They were, I would say, about 22–24 years old, all men.” Despite their inappropriate behavior, according to the passenger, the crew continued to serve alcohol to both groups, even after warnings.
She said that other passengers were visibly uncomfortable. “The flight attendant warned the younger group about the consequences of inappropriate behavior, but they continued to play music and drink,” she told Newstalk. “One young girl was trembling from head to toe, and another woman was very agitated because the noise was simply unbearable.”
The passenger described an incident where a shirtless man and a young woman went into the toilet together and spent about ten minutes there.
When they emerged, both noisy groups greeted it with applause. Then a flight attendant inspected the toilet, and afterwards returned with cleaning supplies to deal with what was left behind. The passenger told host Andrea Gilligan: “One young girl said she could arrange ‘hook-ups’ for people on the flight if they wanted.”
“At one point, a young guy without a shirt, just in shorts, and a girl went into the toilet. They came out after about ten minutes. The flight attendant opened the toilet door after they left. Whatever he saw in there, he then went and brought a large bag of wet wipes,” the woman shared.

The passenger also recalled a young man sitting in front of her who allegedly inappropriately addressed other passengers. According to her, he singled her out and shouted: “I want her.”
“He got up from his seat, pointed at me and said: ‘I want her.’ At that moment, my new acquaintance Paul, the man sitting next to me on the flight, intervened,” the woman recounted.
“I told him: ‘You need to be very, very careful, because my husband is sitting on the other side of the aisle. My husband had headphones on, with his eyes closed.’”
“I told him: ‘You need to get out of this situation, because my husband is already very stressed by the noise, shouting, people jumping over seats, and everything else.’ Only then did that young man realize that I was not alone,” she shared.

The woman added: “Thank God my husband didn’t hear it, because the situation could have become unpleasant if he had heard a young man essentially sexually harassing on a Ryanair flight.”
According to the passenger, emergency services were waiting for the plane when it landed at Ibiza Airport.
Medics boarded the plane and escorted at least one passenger who appeared unwell, while police questioned some members of the disruptive groups.
“When the plane landed, the flight attendant said: ‘Everyone stay in your seats. Medics and police are coming onto the plane,’” she recounted.
According to the passenger, the young shirtless man who was in the toilet with the girl was escorted off the plane by medics. Two people from the rear of the plane were asked to go with the police.
In the subsequent chaos, an older woman’s bag went missing, causing additional tension on the hot bus transporting passengers to the terminal.
“It later turned out that the flight attendants had placed it with their belongings, at least that’s what we were told on the bus,” the passenger recounted.
“People were asked if anyone had accidentally taken her bag. One of the people questioned by the police decided that he was being accused of stealing her bag. However, by the time her bag was found and he got on the bus, we were all already back on the bus.”
“It was terribly hot – about 30 or 33 degrees. People were tired, tense, and agitated. And then one man started verbally abusing the older woman, as if she had accused him of stealing the bag, even though she hadn’t,” the passenger said.
The woman, who has been traveling to Ibiza for decades, said she had seen inappropriate behavior before, but the scale of this flight was exceptional.
“I’ve been traveling to Ibiza since I was 19. I’m 64, so I’ve been traveling here for 45 years. But this wasn’t just terrible – we were both very tense and angry,” she said.
Consumed their own drinks
Ryanair stated in a statement provided to Newstalk that two passengers on this flight were refused alcohol sales, but they continued to consume their own pre-purchased alcohol and ignored crew warnings.
“The crew of this flight from Dublin to Ibiza proactively requested police assistance after two passengers began to cause disruption during the flight,” the airline stated. “Due to their inappropriate behavior, the crew refused to sell them alcohol, but despite several crew warnings, they continued to drink their own pre-purchased alcohol. Police met the aircraft upon its arrival at Ibiza Airport, and these two disruptive passengers were removed.”
The company also emphasized its stance on passenger misconduct: “Ryanair has a strict zero-tolerance policy for passenger misconduct and will continue to take decisive action to combat unruly passenger behavior to ensure all passengers and crew can travel in a respectful and disruption-free environment.”
