“There was no shortage of stress in the competition. The start was given five minutes earlier, so not all cyclists managed to start together. After just three kilometers, crashes began – about half of the group scattered. We are glad that our team’s athletes avoided falls,” said R. Adomaitis.
According to him, the team had planned a different strategy for the finish, but the situation on the track forced them to adapt.
“In the end, we couldn’t implement everything as we had planned, but every team member did their job. Maybe not all together, but everyone contributed. The finish was against a strong headwind, so Rait might have started his sprint a bit too early. Only after the photo finish did it become clear that he had won third place,” said the cyclist.

A pleasant surprise for the team was the growing international support. In Poland, the athletes of “Energus Cycling Team” were met not only by local spectators but also by team fans from other countries, who came to greet them, take photos, and wish them luck.

The “Energus” team in this competition consisted of R. Ärmas, Mārtiņš Pluto, Arnas Bilertas, Marceli Pera, Olivers Jēkabs Skrapcis, and R. Adomaitis.
Third place in the UCI category race once again confirms the team’s stable athletic level and a successful season in the international cycling arena. This season, the Lithuanian team rose among the strongest UCI Continental teams in the world, and just a few social media videos garnered over 40 million views. This proves that this Lithuanian cycling team can create global visibility, the report concludes.
