8 graduates – 16 perfect scores
In total, this year’s district graduates earned 16 perfect scores. Eight students achieved the highest state matriculation exam results. One student with a perfect score also received a matriculation certificate with honors, and another graduate, although without perfect scores, still left a mark in the history of the region’s highest-achieving students – her matriculation certificate also with honors.

Kėdainiai Šviesioji Gymnasium continues to be a forge of perfect scores – six graduates from this educational institution collected 14 perfect scores. Five highest evaluations were received for the Lithuanian language and literature state matriculation exam, two each for mathematics, informatics, chemistry, and English language exams, and one each for history, geography, and physics.
Two graduates from Kėdainiai “Atžalyno” Gymnasium earned two perfect scores. The students received one highest evaluation each for the geography and informatics state matriculation exams.
“In other district gymnasiums this year, unfortunately, there were no perfect scores, but we hope that there will be students whose exam evaluations will be very close to the highest mark,” said Vilma Dobrovolskienė, Head of the Education, Culture and Sports Department of Kėdainiai District Municipality, to “Rinkos aikštė”. “However, we will only know these results in autumn, as the National Education Agency does not provide such information yet.”
This Year’s Record – Five Perfect Scores
This year’s absolute top student is Benas Amalevičius, a graduate of Šviesioji Gymnasium. He received a 100-point evaluation for five state matriculation exams: Lithuanian language and literature, mathematics, chemistry, English language, and informatics. Benas also found time to attend piano lessons at the Music School.
Marius Kiela, a graduate of Šviesioji Gymnasium, also surprised with impressive results, collecting four perfect scores: for Lithuanian language and literature, chemistry, English language, and physics exams.
Armandas Erminas, a graduate of Šviesioji Gymnasium, is delighted with two perfect scores. He achieved the highest number of points for Lithuanian language and literature and history exams. In addition, Armandas managed to learn to play several instruments at the Music School: trombone, accordion, and piano.
Three graduates of Šviesioji Gymnasium earned one perfect score each: Simona Matažinskaitė and Ignas Tamulis – for the Lithuanian language and literature state matriculation exam, and Adomas Vaitiekūnas – for mathematics. By the way, Adomas also played music – he played the saxophone at the Music School. And Simona not only earned a perfect score – the diligently studying girl is delighted with a matriculation certificate with honors.
Two graduates of “Atžalyno” Gymnasium earned one perfect score each: Mija Zalagėnaitė – for the geography exam, and Armandas Stanevičius – for his knowledge in the informatics exam.
Emilija Rimkutė, a student of “Atžalyno” Gymnasium who received a matriculation certificate with honors, is also on the honor roll of this year’s most talented graduates.
Arithmetic of Perfect Scores
A student who received five perfect scores for exams was awarded a substantial cash prize – as much as 1,480 euros.
This year, the district municipality awarded a prize of 296 euros for one perfect score, and 592 euros for a certificate with honors.

One perfect score and a certificate with honors also added a considerable sum – 888 euros – to the graduate’s account for the start of independent life.
Dream – Humanities
Emilija Rimkutė, a graduate who received a certificate with honors, was pleased that her studies went very well, but she is not inclined to take all the credit for her high achievements herself.
“To study well, one really needs to put in effort, but teachers who support and encourage are also very important,” emphasized Emilija Rimkutė, a graduate of “Atžalyno” Gymnasium. “Although I haven’t chosen a specific specialty I’d like to study yet, I am drawn to humanities, foreign languages, and culture. For now, I intend to stay in Lithuania.”
Future – Engineering
Marius Kiela, a graduate of Šviesioji Gymnasium who received four perfect scores, assessed his impressive academic achievements modestly.
“The results are good,” he smiled. “The mathematics exam was the hardest, and I wouldn’t call the others easy either. To get the highest evaluation, effort was needed everywhere.”
Marius revealed that he did not work with tutors additionally. In his opinion, graduates should also thank the educators who taught them for their perfect scores.
“The teachers did an excellent job – they conducted lessons interestingly, encouraged us to delve deeper independently. So, we really need to thank the teachers,” said Marius, emphasizing that there is no magic recipe to earn a perfect score. The secret is trivial and simple – one needs to study.
The young man sees his future in the field of engineering.
Excellent Averages Too
Vilma Sakalauskienė, Deputy Director for Education at Šviesioji Gymnasium, also attended the awards ceremony to congratulate their perfect-score students. The guest noted that their school can be proud not only of its 14 perfect scores but also of the high achievements of all gymnasium students.
“The averages for almost all subjects are around 70 points. This shows that the students truly studied responsibly and were properly evaluated,” said V. Sakalauskienė.
– “Today we rejoice in the wonderful achievements of the students, but we would also like to thank the graduates’ parents, who were by their side all these years, cooperated with the gymnasium, and helped all of us on the difficult path to prepare the students for life.”
