According to sources, K. Patel initially plans to travel to Moscow, and later visit Saint Petersburg. However, it is believed that the travel dates and the route itself may still change.
It is speculated that the highest-ranking American official will be received by representatives of the Russian security service (FSB). So far, there is no information about the purpose of such a visit, nor whether K. Patel will meet with the Kremlin host Vladimir Putin.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the US Department of Justice did not comment on the information.
