A criminal investigation is underway, and under these circumstances, I do not want to comment on various hypotheses or specific case details. At this time, any publicly expressed hypothesis could hinder the investigators’ work. I do not want to speculate or interfere in any way with the course of the investigation,” said the Ukrainian businessman, whose life the woman believed to have attempted the assassination was later found dead in Ukraine.

Asked whether the attempt on him could be related to his son Artur’s conviction in the “Milton Group” and call center fraud case, V.Jermolajev replied that “there is no basis to establish a connection between my son’s case and the attempt on me.”
“Like any father, it is of course very difficult for me to come to terms with the fact that my son is facing serious legal problems. But Artur is an adult. He lives his own life, and I see no reason to link his case with the attack of which I was the victim,” said the businessman.
V.Jermolajev decided to speak to the media because “he takes this case very seriously” and “is firmly committed to fully cooperating with the investigating authorities.”

The man said that if the treatment goes well, he will be able to leave the hospital in the coming weeks. V.Jermolajev plans to continue living in Monaco.
