„The Lithuanian jazz scene today is creative, diverse, and bold. We wanted this year’s program to reflect that – to present performers who actively create and perform not only in Lithuania but also on international stages. At the same time, we maintain the festival’s openness to the world, so the program is complemented by guests from Austria and Germany,“ says festival producer Leonidas Šinkarenka.

The festival will begin with the Austrian group CLERQ, led by bassist and composer Clemens Rofner. The ensemble stands out with a unique sound that combines structured minimalism, contemporary jazz improvisation, and the energy of club music. The quartet, distinguished by its cinematic sound, invites listeners not only to a concert but to an intense musical experience.
On the evening of July 24, “The Ditties” and pianist Dmitrij Golovanov will perform on the festival stage. The retro jazz and swing trio has been nurturing the tradition of swing music since 2011, authentically interpreting the repertoire of the 1930s.
That same evening, bass guitar virtuoso Domas Aleksa will perform at the festival with the international project TRIPPIN’. Together with Berlin-based vocalist Nnaji, they combine influences of contemporary jazz, neo-soul, rock, and hip-hop. D. Aleksa is one of Lithuania’s most prominent jazz musicians, having performed at prestigious festivals in Europe, Asia, Africa, and America.

The festival’s climax will be the evening of July 25, dedicated to the dialogue between chamber music and jazz. First, the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra will perform – one of Lithuania’s most prominent chamber orchestras, known for professionalism and creative openness. The evening will conclude with “Shinkarenko Jazz 5N,” formed by Leonidas Šinkarenka, performing together with the same orchestra, presenting a program where the sound of chamber music merges with contemporary jazz improvisation.
For almost three decades, the “Nida Jazz Marathon” has been an integral part of Nida’s summer cultural life. The festival consistently nurtures the tradition of professional jazz music, presenting creators from different generations and musical directions and inviting listeners to a live encounter with improvisation, creative freedom, and contemporary jazz.
All festival concerts will take place at the Nida Culture and Tourism Information Center “Agila.”
