As reported by “L’Equipe”, half of the large budget for the next season was supposed to be secured by investors from Asia, but they failed to provide the necessary guarantees.

The team’s head coach is to be the legendary Tony Parker, who is also the president of the ASVEL club.
The news was also reacted to by former Kaunas “Žalgiris” leader S. Francisco, who wrote “Lol” (the English phrase “laugh out loud”, meaning laughter, abbreviation – note) on the social network “X”.
It was previously reported that the ASVEL club enticed S. Francisco with a salary of about 3–4 million euros per season.
