The average Brent crude oil price last week (July 6 – July 12) was 75.3 USD/bbl – 4.1% higher than the previous week, when it was 72.3 USD/bbl. This oil price is 10.9% higher than a year ago, when from July 7 to July 13, 2025, it averaged 67.9 USD/bbl. Analyzing the latest Brent crude oil futures contracts, it is currently forecasted that prices in the coming years will be 1–5 USD/bbl higher than forecasted a week ago, ranging from 71 to 76 USD/bbl.
In the first half of July, crude oil was imported to Lithuania from Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and Norway. In June, crude oil was imported to Lithuania from Norway, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria. In May, crude oil was imported to our country from Norway, Algeria, the United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia.
The average weighted gasoline price in EU countries on Monday, July 13, compared to July 6, increased from 1.814 Eur/l to 1.851 Eur/l, while the average diesel price increased from 1.766 Eur/l to 1.823 Eur/l.
In Lithuanian gas station networks on Monday, July 13, the average gasoline price was 1.697 Eur/l, and the average diesel price that day was 1.803 Eur/l. The difference between diesel and gasoline prices in our country increased over the week from 0.074 Eur/l to 0.106 Eur/l.
Compared to the average prices in EU countries, the average gasoline and diesel prices in Lithuania are lower by 8.3% and 1.1%, respectively.
For comparison, last year, on July 14, 2025, the average gasoline price in the country was 1.392 Eur/l, and diesel was 1.492 Eur/l.
Average gasoline prices on July 13, compared to July 6, increased by 1.0–4.9 percent in Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, and Germany.
Over one month, gasoline prices increased by 1.5–10.2% in Estonia, Poland, and Germany, while in Lithuania and Latvia, they decreased by 2.3% and 1.6%, respectively.
Over the past 12 months, the average gasoline price in all compared countries increased by 7.8–22 percent.
In Poland, the average gasoline price this Monday was 1.60 Eur/l – 0.10 Eur/l lower than in Lithuania. In Poland, the period of reduced excise and other indirect taxes on fuels ended on July 1. In Estonia and Latvia, the average gasoline prices were 1.62 Eur/l and 1.77 Eur/l, respectively.
In fourteen EU countries, average gasoline prices are now higher than in Lithuania. Among EU countries, the highest average gasoline prices are in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Finland (2.14–2.37 Eur/l).
Average diesel prices last week, on July 13 compared to July 6, increased by 0.7–5.4 percent in all compared countries.
Over the month, diesel prices increased by 0.7–5.4 percent in all compared countries.
Over the past 12 months, the average diesel price in all compared countries increased by 9.6–24.7 percent.
In Poland, the average diesel price on Monday was 1.61 Eur/l – 0.19 Eur/l lower than in Lithuania. In Estonia and Latvia, the average diesel prices were 1.69 Eur/l and 1.71 Eur/l, respectively.
Diesel is more expensive than in Lithuania in ten EU countries. Among EU countries, the highest average diesel prices are in Finland, the Netherlands, and Denmark (2.05–2.15 Eur/l).
At the beginning of July (July 15 compared to June 30), the wholesale gasoline price increased by 0.09 Eur/l, and the diesel price rose by 0.22 Eur/l. In June, wholesale gasoline and diesel prices in Lithuania decreased by 0.05 Eur/l each. In May, the wholesale gasoline price in Lithuania decreased by 0.12 Eur/l, and the diesel price dropped by 0.21 Eur/l.
