On Wednesday in Lithuania, strong gusts of wind are chasing rain-filled clouds. People share that in northern and southern Lithuania it not only rained but also hailed. Wind gusts are strong in many places, bending trees and tearing branches.

In Dzūkija, people complain that, for example, around Alytus it cooled down sharply as it clouded over, making you want to light a stove. Hail whitened the ground in Varėna, Kupiškis, Utena, and Panevėžys.
Strong gusts of wind are raging in Šiauliai and Kaunas. People joke that on Thursday in Ukmergė all four seasons passed in half a day. Around 1 p.m., a very strong wind, hail, and thunderstorm raged in the Anykščiai district. After 3 p.m., hail poured down with heavy rain in Lentvaris as well.
On Thursday after 3 p.m., more than 3,000 customers were without electricity due to disruptions.
Strong gusts of wind are raging throughout Lithuania. A meteorologists’ warning about dangerous wind gusts has been issued in all Lithuanian counties and is valid until 6 p.m. Later, the wind is expected to calm down.
In some places, northwest wind gusts reach 15-17 or 18 m/s.
Meteo.lt reports that Friday is expected to be a bit warmer and drier, with calmer winds. On weekend days, the wind will have already calmed down, the air will warm up a bit more, but short rain showers will still occur.
A warming trend is forecast for the first half of the new week. On Monday and Tuesday, it will still rain in some places, but from midweek the weather will change significantly. Entering the calendar summer, we will be able to enjoy summer-like warm weather. However, heat reaching 30 °C is not forecasted, at least for now. Meteorologist Ineta Daunoravičiūtė told LRT television that from midweek we will be treated to warmth of 20-25 degrees.
Meanwhile, meteorologist Elvyra Latvėnaitė writes on her Facebook page that on Wednesday it may warm up to 22-27 degrees.
