The cause of the fire is still unclear.
“Preliminary data indicate that 11 people died,” and 19 others were injured, the country’s civil protection service reported on Thursday, but did not specify the ages of the victims.
National television showed Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb (Sifis Gribas) visiting the injured in the hospital.
