TSMC is a leader in the contract chip manufacturing sector, with its chips used everywhere – from Apple phones to Nvidia processors. It has become one of the main winners in the global AI race, as governments and tech giants invest huge sums in building data centers where AI tools can be trained and used, which has greatly boosted the chip manufacturers’ business.
“The AI megatrend continues to increase the demand for ever greater data processing capacities,” said the company’s chairman Che-Chia Wei.
