Registration for participants in this political campaign ended on Monday.
The following parties will be able to nominate their candidate: Centre-Right Union, Democratic Union “For Lithuania”, Freedom Party, Liberal Movement, Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania-Christian Families Alliance, Lithuanian Regions Party, Lithuanian Social Democratic Party, Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union, political party “Nemuno aušra”, Nation and Justice Union (centrists, nationalists), Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats.

Eduardas Vaitkus is also running as a candidate in these elections.
So far, only the Social Democratic Party has announced that it will nominate the incumbent Minister of the Interior Vladislavas Kondratovičius in the Northern Nalšia constituency.
Information about candidates nominated by other political parties will be known when they submit their application documents or when the political party submits a request to register as a representative political campaign participant.
According to the Election Code, those who do not register as political campaign participants are not entitled to participate in the elections.

Candidates must submit application documents by August 20.
The early parliamentary elections in the Northern Nalšia constituency will be held on November 8.
They are being held following the unexpected death in May of the elected Member of Parliament Jevgenij Šuklinas.
