As reported by the news portal “Defense Express,” Ukraine has pushed out the majority of Russian tankers and cargo ships from the Sea of Azov.

Satellite images and the latest strike report show that Russia has given the order to flee the Sea of Azov and currently more than 50 tankers and other ships are concentrated in the Black Sea, near the Taman Peninsula. It is assumed that this location was chosen in hopes of moving the remaining ships beyond the most heavily bombed waters.
The commander of Ukraine’s drone forces, Robert Brovdis, traditionally announced that last night Ukrainian drones again attacked the so-called Russian shadow fleet and damaged 7 tankers, 5 cargo ships, 2 tugboats, and one ferry.
R. Brovdis’s statement improved the statistics of the intense Ukrainian strike campaign against Russian logistics – about 105 ships were hit in 8 days.
As analysts note, the number of Russian tankers attacked in the latest assault (7) is lower than during the first major night raid (8) on July 7. However, this is explained not by decreased accuracy or effectiveness of the attacks, but by the lack of targets in the Sea of Azov.
Publicly available satellite images from the European Space Agency, taken on July 11 and 12, show that outside Taganrog Bay, in most of the Sea of Azov, there were almost no large ships.

Data recorded on Sunday showed about 25 ships in the southern part of the Sea of Azov near the Taman Peninsula. The satellite images also show bright streaks attributed to interference caused by Russian electronic warfare systems.
A much larger concentration of ships is seen on the opposite side of the peninsula in the Black Sea, where more than 50 ships were gathered into several groups about 14.4–30 km from the shore.
Some ships were lined up side by side, suggesting that cargo transshipment may have taken place at sea. Smaller vessels were also visible nearby – possibly tugs or security ships controlled by Russian forces.
Two more groups further south were possibly waiting their turn to reload cargo.
According to the news portal “Defense Express,” the images show that Russia is reorganizing maritime logistics after repeated Ukrainian drone strikes made the Sea of Azov particularly dangerous for tankers, ferries, cargo, and auxiliary ships.
