The plans we had during the mission, we even joked that during the day plan A could turn into plan B, C, D, and sometimes there are not enough letters,“ said the team leader Gediminas Šuksta, who returned from the mission, to journalists on Monday.

According to him, the hardest part of the mission was surviving the difficult weather conditions.
„The team itself and that enthusiasm, and that dedication, which was really already a lot. But that was not a problem, people wanted to, were passionate about work and tried to work. And the climate, our main enemy in this case was the heat, constant heat, heat from the morning. Accordingly, it causes all kinds of health problems and overheating,“ said the team leader.

„Within a few days we oriented ourselves, slightly changed our work organization principles, no longer sent the whole team at once, allowed part of it to rest. We found air-conditioned rooms near our camp, where we recommended our rescuers to wait, say, not to overheat while they are not on operation,“ said G. Šuksta.
