On July 6, fighter jets took off to patrol near the border in Poland.
On July 8, NATO fighter jets flew to identify two SU-30S combat aircraft. They flew through international airspace from mainland Russia to the Kaliningrad region with their radar transponders on, without flight plans, but maintained radio communication with the Regional Flight Control Center (RSVC).
