For those not entitled to receive child care benefits from “Sodra,” this benefit is granted and paid from the child’s date of birth until the child turns two years old, based on an application submitted to the Municipality. The amount of the benefit is 6 base social benefits (BSI), which currently amounts to 444 euros per month.

The benefit is granted to only one family member entitled to receive it – either the mother or the father. If a person acquires the right to child care benefits from “Sodra,” the payment of benefits paid by the Municipality is terminated. The benefit is also not granted if the benefit has already been granted to another family member entitled to receive it for the same child and the same period.
In the case of twins, triplets, or a larger number of children born at the same time, the amount of the benefit does not change.
