Latvian border guards turned back 87 migrants on Wednesday, and 21 migrants were turned back in Poland on Tuesday.
This year, a total of 992 illegal migrants were not allowed into Lithuania. Last year, there were more than 1.6 thousand attempts to enter the country from Belarus in unauthorized places, and the year before that, this number was 1002.
Since the beginning of the migration crisis caused by Belarus, Lithuanian border guards have prevented more than 25.5 thousand foreigners from illegally entering the country.
