The Seimas Committee on Legal Affairs and Law Enforcement on Wednesday approved the proposal to remove the provision regarding the deployment of nuclear weapons in Lithuania from the Constitution.
Following the Court of Appeal’s conviction of Remigijus Žemaitaitis, leader of the opposition ‘Aušriečiai’, the Seimas is grappling with the dilemma of whether it is time to initiate impeachment proceedings against the politician.
The Seimas Committee on Legal Affairs and Law Enforcement did not complete the consideration of the “Aušriečiai” initiative to set a reduced excise duty on diesel fuel for dairy cooperative members starting from July.
