It is reported that L. Karl has a severe muscle strain.

“Unfortunately, Lenny got injured during training. We are going to the hospital to get a clear picture. Please do not follow us, let him rest in peace. We need a diagnosis, and then we will inform if we need a replacement,” J. Nagelsmann was quoted by Bild.

Later, L. Karl himself posted a message on Instagram.

“I don’t even know where to start, but it’s incredibly painful to miss the biggest tournament. I did everything to be ready for the World Cup. Unfortunately, injuries often happen at the worst possible time,” said the Bayern footballer.

L. Karl should be replaced in the squad by another young player.
