It was established that the defendants struck the victim with their hands and feet at least twice in the legs and chest, and at least 11 times in the head. The victim died due to the injuries sustained.
The court, having examined this criminal case, found both defendants guilty of murder and imposed combined prison sentences: G. Jagminas – 12 years, D. Mišeika – 11 years.
The pre-trial investigation was organized and the state prosecution in court was supported by Vytautas Gataveckas, prosecutor of the First Criminal Prosecution Division of the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by officers of the Criminal Police Crime Investigation Division of the Alytus County Chief Police Commissariat.
The Kaunas Regional Court’s judgment of June 5 can be appealed to the Lithuanian Court of Appeal within 20 days from its pronouncement.
In accordance with the presumption of innocence, a person is considered innocent until their guilt is proven in the manner prescribed by law and recognized by a final court judgment.
