a metallic squeak or unusual noises in the unit area;
chaotic gear shifting, with individual gears being lost;

How to extend the transmission lifespan
The most important rule ensuring the longevity of an automatic transmission is strict adherence to the maintenance schedule.
“Even if the car manufacturer claims that the factory oil will last the entire lifespan and completely seals the housing, the fluid still needs to be changed periodically,” experts note.
It is also important to regularly monitor the cleanliness and condition of the automatic transmission’s cooling radiator, as excessive heat causes sudden overheating and destroys internal friction discs.
How to properly use an automatic transmission
For an automatic transmission to last longer, it is necessary not only to maintain it but also to use it correctly during trips.
For example, when stopping on a hill or parking the car, the parking brake must be engaged. Also, switching the selector modes from drive to reverse and vice versa is only allowed when the car is completely stopped.
