Four models with three different powertrains are exhibited at their booth throughout the weekend, and the fully electric “Omoda 5 Electric” is being publicly presented in Lithuania for the first time.
The exhibition returned after a break
This year’s “Auto Expo Vilnius” exhibition coincided with the European Mobility Week. The organizers present it as a large-scale automotive event returning to Lithuania after a break, showcasing the latest cars, including electric and hybrid models, and allowing visitors to explore driving technologies and smart mobility solutions. The event is designed not only for car enthusiasts but also for families, technology lovers, and the business community.
The program includes not only car presentations and test drives but also interactive exhibits, themed installations, family entertainment, and a talk studio.
Visitors vote for the “Auto Expo Vilnius 2026” car on the exhibition’s dedicated portal and on-site, the logistics company “Girteka” has set up a safe traffic zone with a real truck, and artist Justinas Kyga is live painting one of the exhibited electric cars during the exhibition.
Three unique choices in one booth
Four models are displayed at the “Omoda” and “Jaecoo” booth: the self-charging hybrid “Omoda 5 Hybrid,” the electric “Omoda 5 Electric,” and two plug-in hybrids – “Omoda 9 Super Hybrid” and “Jaecoo 7 Super Hybrid.” Visitors can compare all three types of powertrains in one place.
The fully electric car is charged from the power grid and uses no fuel, making it best suited for daily city and suburban trips where charging can be done at home or work. The self-charging hybrid stores energy during braking and while the gasoline engine operates, so it does not need to be plugged in, and fuel consumption is generally lower than a similar conventional gasoline car.
Plug-in hybrids have a larger battery, allowing daily routes to be covered often using only electricity, and when the battery charge decreases or more power is needed, the gasoline engine kicks in. This is the most versatile but also the most technically advanced of the three “Omoda” solutions offered.
Electric debut
One of the most important news at the “Auto Expo 2026” exhibition is the “Omoda 5 Electric,” a compact electric SUV publicly presented in Lithuania for the first time. The car is equipped with a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, a 155 kW electric motor drives the front wheels, and according to the WLTP methodology, the electric range reaches up to 430 km.
The model can be charged at DC fast charging stations, and in “Euro NCAP” safety tests, experts awarded it the highest five-star rating.

Hybrids from city to long trips
“Omoda 5 Hybrid” is a compact, self-charging hybrid. It features a 1.5-liter gasoline engine combined with an electric motor producing 224 hp, with declared average fuel consumption in mixed mode of just 5.3 l/100 km, and a single fuel tank fill allows driving up to 1,000 km.
“Omoda 9 Super Hybrid” is the largest and most powerful “Omoda” model. This technologically advanced hybrid’s powertrain produces 537 hp, with all-wheel drive ensuring maximum traction. The car is equipped with a 34.46 kWh battery, allowing a range of up to 145 km on a single charge and reducing gasoline engine consumption to just 1.7 l/100 km.
The “Omoda” booth also features a more compact representative of the “Super Hybrid” family – the “Jaecoo 7 Super Hybrid.” This plug-in hybrid has a smaller 18.3 kWh battery, enabling a range of up to 91 km on a full charge, with a total driving range reaching up to 1,200 km.
Advanced plug-in hybrids also feature fast battery charging. At a fast charging station, the battery charges from 30 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes, and the V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) function, with a separate adapter purchase, allows powering external electrical devices from the car’s battery.
Expansion in Europe
“Omoda” and “Jaecoo” have been operating in Europe since 2024 and, according to the company, have started operations in 16 countries on the continent in about two years, aiming to cover the entire European Union by the end of 2026. In neighboring Poland, 14,745 cars of both brands were registered in the first eight months of 2026 – almost 83% more than in the same period last year and nearly as many as in all of 2025. One of the main growth drivers is the “Jaecoo 7 Super Hybrid,” which took first place among compact plug-in hybrid SUVs in Poland.
Since the debut of “Omoda” and “Jaecoo” in the United Kingdom in August 2024, more than 100,000 “Omoda” and “Jaecoo” cars have been sold in this market. In July 2026, the group uniting both brands ranked third among car groups operating in the UK by total new car registrations. Earlier that March, according to the UK Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the “Jaecoo 7” was the best-selling new car in the entire UK market.
The latest expansion stage is entering the Baltic countries, and the “Auto Expo” exhibition in Vilnius is the first opportunity to see all four models presented in Lithuania in one place.
The “Omoda” and “Jaecoo” booth will be open all three days of the exhibition: Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 7 pm, Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
