„Refurbed“, the leading refurbished electronics marketplace in Europe, is starting operations in Lithuania – one of 12 new markets the company has entered this year. After this expansion, „refurbed“ now operates in 24 European markets, and more than 10 million products have been sold on the platform throughout its existence.

„We see great interest in Lithuania – the value of goods sold grows by about 50% per month. Buyers are not only in Vilnius, Kaunas, or Klaipėda – we receive orders from various cities, towns, and villages across the country,“ says one of the founders of „refurbed“, Kilian Kaminski.
In Lithuania, smartphones account for 68% of all „refurbed“ sales, and laptops – 18%. The best-selling device is the iPhone 15, and among the 20 most popular products, there are as many as 14 different iPhone models. In second place is the AirPods Pro 2, and third – the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Lithuanian residents choose durability over the latest model
A survey of 500 Lithuanian residents aged 18 to 64, conducted on behalf of „Refurbed“, reveals a rather practical attitude towards technology. Almost a third of respondents (32%) use their devices for six years or more, while the latest model is important to only 3% of those surveyed.

Buying refurbished electronics is also viewed positively. 42% of respondents say they would openly tell others that they purchased a refurbished device.
However, the very concept of refurbished electronics is still not well known in Lithuania. 63% of respondents say they do not have a clear understanding of what a “refurbished” device means. Only 12% of respondents have owned such a device.
On the „Refurbed“ platform, refurbished devices cost up to 40% less than new ones. All products come with at least a 12-month warranty, and the purchased item can be returned within 30 days. The appearance of the device depends on its condition category: some look like new, while others may have minor signs of use, but all are fully functional.
