“The situation seems simple at first glance. If you rent cargo vans from ‘Bolt’ or ‘City Bee’ (for transporting furniture or other large cargo) and do not leave the city, no problems arise. However, if you cross the city limits and drive on state roads, a different rule applies – you must pay extra for the roads – in my case about 7 Eur. If you don’t pay, and smart cameras capture the cargo vehicle’s number, you receive a fine of several hundred euros,” shared Dominykas with his new experience.

In fact, cargo vans that can be rented from ‘CityBee’ or ‘Bolt’ belong to the N1 (light commercial) vehicle class. To drive them, a category B driver’s license is sufficient. However, additional obligations arise. What are they and how to avoid troubles due to ignorance?
