“August was another month this year when the usual activity in the real estate transaction market, which has practically continued throughout this year, did not fade. This year, both in the entire market and in individual real estate segments, a stable 5-7% increase in the number of transactions is observed. It is likely that we will see similar market activity at the end of this year,” says Paulius Rudzkis, data analyst at the Registry Center.

Over the eight months of this year, a total of 92.8 thousand real estate objects transferred by purchase-sale transactions were registered throughout Lithuania – 7.2% more than in January-August 2025, when 86.6 thousand real estate sales were registered. In August alone, 12.2 thousand real estate transactions were registered – 5.4% more than in August last year (11.6 thousand), but 5.7% less than in July this year (12.9 thousand).
This year, 24.7 thousand apartment sales were registered nationwide – 1.7% more than in January-August 2025, when 24.3 thousand apartment transactions were registered. In August alone, 3.2 thousand apartment transactions were registered, almost the same as in August last year, but 5.3% less than in July this year.
In Vilnius, 8.8 thousand apartment sales were registered this year, 2.4% more than in the same period last year; in Kaunas – 3.3 thousand (0.3% less); in Klaipėda – 2.1 thousand (the same as last year).

Over eight months, 9.1 thousand individual residential house sales were registered in Lithuania – 8.7% more than in January-August 2025, when 8.4 thousand house sales were registered. In August alone, 1.4 thousand residential house transactions were registered, 9.8% more than in August last year, but 2.6% less than in July this year.
This year, 43.1 thousand land plot ownership changes were also registered nationwide – 6.9% more than in the same period last year, when 40.3 thousand land plot transactions were registered. In August alone, 5.7 thousand land plot transactions were registered, 6.3% more than in August last year, but 4.6% less than in July this year.
