As announced by the Klaipėda city municipality, the construction and reconstruction of buildings that began last year have already passed the halfway point – about 50 percent of all planned works have been successfully completed so far.

Each of the three buildings is operating at full capacity. Engineering systems have been installed in the building complex: electricity, low current, water supply, sewage, ventilation and air conditioning system, as well as an eco-friendly geothermal heating system, and windows have been installed.
The roof is almost finished in building A, and heated floors have been concreted on the first floor. Building B also already has a covered roof, and passersby notice the beginning of facade finishing works, allowing to see the future aesthetic face of the building. The interior spaces here are also already formed, and the interior finishing stage will begin soon.
Meanwhile, in building C, structural reinforcement works are actively underway. Injection foundations have already been installed here and a slab is being poured, on which the second – attic – floor of the building will rise. All three buildings will be conveniently connected by glass galleries, the installation of which is nearing completion. Landscaping works are also planned to begin soon so that the new space harmonizes with the nearby scenic pine forest.

As announced by the municipality, this complex will become a cozy refuge for 81 seniors, with special attention given to 12 people fighting dementia – specialized rooms are being arranged for them, ensuring safety and peace.
An important idea of this project is openness and community spirit. The new homes will not be closed off: walking paths will be laid out on the territory, flower beds and trees planted, and rest areas with gazebos arranged. Seniors living here will be able to constantly enjoy the pure air of the nearby Baltic Sea.
All construction works, carried out by UAB “Versina”, are planned to be completed next year. The total value of this municipality-implemented project amounts to 9.58 million euros.
