The ITIA organization gave the 31-year-old tennis player only a one-month suspension after traces of cocaine were found in his blood during a doping test in Mallorca in June.
The press release states that Nick Kyrgios managed to prove that he used narcotics not during the ATP tournament in Mallorca.
The former world No. 13 explained that the cocaine was used at one of the parties, and considering the small amount of cocaine in the blood, ITIA did not doubt this explanation.

N. Kyrgios also agreed to participate in a special treatment program approved by the ITIA organization. This step by the tennis player reduced the suspension from three to one month.
If the Australian had not managed to prove that the narcotics were used outside the ATP competition, the maximum penalty for such an offense is four years without tennis.
