Former bank building in Vilnius is reborn for a new life: 42 apartments will be installed

This building stands out with its sculptural architecture – it preserves curved volumes, rotunda-type windows, and unique basement spaces that house room-sized safes, which previously stored large amounts of cash. The building’s frame allowed for the creation of unconventional spaces, where ceiling heights in some apartments range from 3.4 to 6 meters.

“This is a building with character that cannot be replicated from scratch. Its external geometry, curved shapes, and rotunda-type windows dictated a completely different quality of life – space, light, and volume that modern people seek today,” says the project architect Marius Bliujus (“Kubinis metras”).

The building includes 42 unique apartments and commercial premises. The interior designer Laura Giržadė, who created the interior concepts, divided the apartment spaces into three different moods – the bright “Morning,” the natural “Day,” and the deep “Evening.”

“When creating these interiors, we wanted to escape sterility. Here, the solid architecture of the building blends with contemporary minimalist solutions and subtle cozy elements that turn the home into a living story,” says the interior author Laura Giržadė (“Softdecor”).

All project apartments will be sold fully equipped, with furniture and household appliances. Construction and installation works are planned to be fully completed by the third quarter of 2027.
