Photos published in the US media show Jed York, owner of the San Francisco 49ers. The 46-year-old American is also a shareholder in European football clubs – Leeds United (England) and Glasgow Rangers (Scotland).
Last Sunday, J. York was arrested. According to the California Post, the man tried to buy sex services for 140 US dollars.
It is reported that the wealthy man illegally arranged a meeting with a woman through a prostitution website in Ohio. However, upon arriving at the designated place, a trailer park, he was arrested by the police who were conducting their operation.
J. York had a mobile phone through which he had ordered the meeting, and he was charged with intent to purchase sex services.
The nature of the charges changed after an agreement was reached with the officers.
After paying a $5,000 bail, he was sentenced to one day in jail and fined $1,000 for disturbing the public order.

The NFL team owned by J. York himself issued a statement on Monday.
“Since this is a legal matter and has already been resolved, we will not provide further comments,” the San Francisco 49ers statement said.
J. York comes from a wealthy family whose fortune is estimated at $8.5 billion.
Starting out as a financial analyst in his youth, he later joined the family-owned San Francisco club.
