In the past 24 hours, the most rain fell in Mažeikiai (38.9 mm) and Kretinga (34.5 mm). The mentioned amount in Mažeikiai roughly corresponds to half, and in Kretinga – a third of the August monthly precipitation norm.
The main weather curiosity on Wednesday was the waterspouts observed on the coast. One of them even reached the Palanga beach.
