As reported by the Kaunas Fire and Rescue Department, on August 16 at 01:43 a message was received that the reporter woke up from smoke and smell.

It was indicated that in the yard of Juodkiškio Street in Kėdainiai, a neighbor was burning a bonfire, flames were visible, buildings – 10 meters away.

When firefighters arrived, natural waste was being burned in an area of 0.5 sq. m under supervision. Safe distances from buildings were not maintained.
