The new Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport will be available for sale in early 2027. The German car manufacturer has already revealed more information about the new model.
The shorter Volkswagen Atlas has occupied a niche in the North American market since 2019, which was previously associated with the VW Touareg. The second-generation model has maintained its main concept.
However, with the discontinuation of the Touareg, the Atlas will not be supplied to Europe.
From the front, the Atlas Cross Sport hardly differs from the standard 2027 Volkswagen Atlas. The front headlights are connected by LED light strips, and the wheel arches are widened.
The biggest changes are seen at the rear of the car. Here, the roof pillars are more sloped and a fairly large roof spoiler is installed, giving the car a sportier look.
Shorter and lower
The Atlas Cross Sport is 14 cm shorter than the standard model, which is about 5 meters long. Its height is also reduced by about 5 cm – to 1.73 meters.
Due to its more compact dimensions, the car does not have a third row of seats.
The interior equipment is essentially the same as other 2027 Volkswagen Atlas models. It features a digital instrument cluster and a large 12.9 or 15-inch touchscreen.
The multimedia system is enhanced with ChatGPT features and games.
