„We receive applications every day, but the pace of this additional call is much calmer. A large portion of residents who have already replaced heating systems so far applied for compensation in the calls announced on July 1, when applications for the very large – 15 million euro – subsidy amount were submitted in a very short time. Now, under the current call, residents can submit applications at their own pace, at a convenient time. The acceptance of applications is running smoothly. We plan to continue announcing calls for the replacement of inefficient boilers every quarter at least 4 more times until July 1, 2027, so residents will still have opportunities to submit applications for compensation later,“ says Agnė Bagočiutė, Director of the Lithuanian Energy Agency.
According to the calls announced on July 1 for 15 million euros in subsidies, the Lithuanian Energy Agency received more than 4,760 applications, of which the first properly completed applications were paid the day after the call, and currently support has been paid for almost 45% of all applications in this call.
Since 2023, more than 19,300 residents have already installed new heating devices, and the LEA has paid out more than 63.6 million euros to them.
The next stage of calls for applications will be announced on October 1, 2026, at 2 p.m. It is planned to allocate 6 million euros for replaced inefficient biomass heating devices and 4 million euros for replaced fossil fuel heating devices.
It is important to prepare in advance the documents required for the application, and we also recommend familiarizing yourself with the information prepared by the LEA, which will help correctly fill out the application.

Applications filled out without errors are evaluated faster and funds quickly reach the resident. If errors are found in the applications, LEA staff contact the residents and provide an opportunity to correct the applications, but funds do not reach residents as quickly.
Compensation is provided upon installation of new, unused 5th class certified biofuel boilers or heat pumps ground-water, water-water, air-water, and air-air, intended for heating the home, replacing the old heating system.
Compensation amounts to up to 50% of the fixed price of the heating device determined by market prices.
By 2029, a total of more than 112.4 million euros of state funding is planned for the replacement of inefficient heating devices in homes. It is planned that about 35 thousand residents will benefit from the state subsidies.
