The new flagship rolls off the same line alongside the electric “Elroq” and “Enyaq” as well as the internal combustion engine “Octavia.” Together with the “Epiq” produced in Spain, this model doubles the manufacturer’s range of electric models in 2026.

Interest in the “Peaq” has been growing since its market debut in June – by the end of July, the manufacturer had received nearly 8,500 orders. The highest specification “Peaq” is equipped with the largest traction battery ever used in a Škoda vehicle. The 91 kWh total capacity battery ensures a driving range of over 640 kilometers. Škoda Auto produces advanced “Peaq” battery systems in the new assembly plant in Mlada Boleslav.

Production flexibility in two factories
The completely new “Peaq” is already the fourth model produced on the main Mlada Boleslav plant line. Originally designed for internal combustion engine vehicles, the line was fundamentally updated to also produce electric vehicles. The first electric vehicle, the “Enyaq,” began production here in 2020, joined by the “Elroq” in January 2025, and now the “Peaq.” One car rolls off the line every minute.
Three electric models are produced alongside the internal combustion engine “Octavia Combi.” Since May this year, the “Octavia Combi” has also been produced at the Kvasiny plant together with the liftback version. This allows Škoda Auto to flexibly redistribute production volumes between the Mlada Boleslav and Kvasiny plants, responding to market demand and global supply chain disruptions.
This solution has freed up capacity at the Mlada Boleslav plant for increasingly popular electric vehicles. In the first half of 2026, electric vehicles accounted for nearly 23 percent of all Škoda cars produced in Czech factories.
Line adapted for the brand’s largest model
The “Peaq” is the largest car Škoda Auto has produced in over three decades within the Volkswagen Group. Significant engineering solutions were required to produce it on the existing line: new, larger work platforms were installed to improve ergonomics and work safety, and a new manipulator was installed for mounting the third row of seats. The load capacity of the battery conveyors was increased by 50 kilograms.

Pressing, body, and painting shops were also updated to ensure smooth material flow throughout the production process. The “Peaq” was developed using the same proven Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) platform as the “Enyaq” and “Elroq,” allowing common processes to be applied when producing these models in Mlada Boleslav.
The largest electric Škoda SUV has attracted buyer interest
The highest specification “Peaq” is equipped with the largest battery ever used in an electric Škoda vehicle. It is also produced at the Mlada Boleslav plant. The 91 kWh total (86 kWh usable) capacity battery ensures a driving range of over 640 kilometers. A version with a 63 kWh total (59 kWh usable) capacity battery is also offered. Buyers can choose from three power versions ranging from 150 to 220 kW with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
At 4.87 meters long with a wheelbase of nearly three meters, the “Peaq” is the largest and most spacious Škoda SUV and the brand’s first model in the large SUV segment. The new flagship offers solutions not previously used in Škoda models: flush door handles, a panoramic roof with “Dynamic Shade Control” dimming function, and a bi-directional charging function that allows energy stored in the car to be supplied to external devices.
Buyer interest is shown by nearly 8,500 orders placed by the end of July.
“Peaq” and “Epiq” double the range of electric models
Alongside the “Peaq,” the Czech manufacturer also introduced the Škoda Epiq – an entry-level city crossover produced in Pamplona (Spain) under the Volkswagen Group’s compact electric city car project “Brand Group Core Electric Urban Car Family.”
The new models will help Škoda maintain strong positions in the European car market – in the first half of this year, the brand ranked second in sales there.
