More than 1,000 illegal migrants have been denied entry into Lithuania this year. Last year, there were more than 1,600 attempts to enter the country illegally from Belarus in unauthorized places, and the year before that, the number was 1,002.
Since the beginning of the migration crisis caused by Belarus, Lithuanian border guards have prevented more than 25,600 foreigners from entering the country illegally.
