Unusual situation and the whole story: football fans buzzed during the minute of silence

Now, during the Sunday match in Eindhoven for the Super Cup between local PSV and AZ Alkmaar, a minute of silence was observed.

Players from both teams stood quietly in the middle of the field, but not all fans remained silent in the stands.

Although no noise was heard in the television footage, the Dutch media reported that some spectators disturbed the minute of silence.

Some AZ Alkmaar supporters broke the silence with shouts. Then PSV fans responded with whistles.

“Show respect in the stadium to those participating in the minute of silence,” wrote former football referee Bas Nijhuis on Instagram.

R. Dieperinkas was supposed to work at the 2026 World Cup.

However, in the spring, the football referee was accused of sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy.

The police then investigated the case, examining recordings on phones and computers. Due to lack of evidence, the case was closed.

Despite this, R. Dieperinkas, who was supposed to work in the video review room (VAR) at the World Cup, was removed from duties in the tournament.

He himself told the Dutch media that he was saddened and claimed to have been falsely accused.

There were no reports about the circumstances of his death, and the police confirmed that no suspicions of possible actions by other persons were found.
