The internationally recognized black and white photo was taken with an iPhone early on a summer morning in a hotel in Bordeaux, France, according to a press release.
R. Jarmalavičius states that this shot allows each viewer to see a different continuation of the story.
“The sun lazily rises over the city. A woman lingers for a long time on the balcony of the adjacent hotel. On the table stands a beer can drunk during the night and two steaming cups of fresh coffee. Meanwhile, the sound of running water from the shower comes from the room. The moment I captured is only the beginning of the story, and each viewer can see the continuation in their own way, as their own story. However, in any case, the promise of the morning is already immortalized in it,” the author says.
R. Jarmalavičius, famous for black and white photos taken with a mobile phone, has won more than 140 international awards for his work.
